1291- How To Pay

The rates are adjusted year round, depending on the type of room, and the time of year.
The following is a list of things to remember when booking your room:

All prices quoted are excluding tax. The sales tax is an ADDITIONAL 8.375%, and there is also a standard 5% hotel tax (excluding suits / apt.)

In addition, there is a charge of US$ 4.00 per room/night, per person ($2.00 for Dorms and Shared Rooms).

Bookings must be made for a MINIMUM of 3 nights (except from December 27th, 2008 till January 3rd, 2009, where the MINIMUM stay must be 5 nights).

If only 1 nights stay is requested, there will be an additional surcharge of $10.00 (Applicable for basic and top rooms, suites and studios).

$30 Surcharge for each additional guest over 3 people in all suites, studios and duplexes; and for over 2 people in all private rooms
($40.00 surcharge for New Years Eve rates period ONLY).

$30 Surchage for each additional guests over 3 people in the New Yorker Stays.

At the current time, there is no online credit card payment system for any bookings in 1291. For Shared Dorm and Private Room bookings, when booked over the phone, a credit card will be needed to secure the booking, HOWEVER, the card will not be charged. Payment is accepted in CASH or TRAVELLERS CHEQUES only, paid IN FULL at reception at the BEGINNING of the stay. There is also an extra 20 dollar deposit for a set of keys, refundable at the end of the stay.If the customer does not wish to stay in the hotel, and does not cancel the booking in advance, the equivalent charge of the first two nights booking will be charged to the credit card information they provided to secure the room, however, this is the ONLY time a card would be charged for booking of a Shared Dorm or Private Room. To avoid any charges being put on the credit card, if you wish to cancel the reservation, please cancel AT LEAST 10 DAYS before the booking time.

If there is a booking made over the value of $500, a DEPOSIT WILL BE NEEDED. Email or call us for further instructions on how to pay a deposit.

CANCELLATION POLICY - If you decide to cancel your booking, and DO NOT give at least 10 days notice
prior to your scheduled arrival, you will be liable for the equivalent of 2 nights booking penalty payment.

PLEASE NOTE - If you book with short notice (less than 10 days before you plan to stay at 1291)
and decide to cancel, you will be liable for the equivalent of your ENTIRE booking penalty payment.

Full payment is required upon check-in, in cash or traveller's cheques ONLY.

A late fee applies for check-ins after 12am (12am to 2am = 20 USD, $40 after 2am until 6am)

When booking a 'New-Yorker' room, a down payment in the amount of $300 will be required before the apartment, suite, or studio can be secured for the customer. PLEASE NOTE - For customers making NEWS YEARS BOOKINGS ONLY we will require a minimum payment of 50% of the entire amount, more than the normal down payment.
Any cheques MUST be either certified cheques, cashier's cheques or money orders (no other cheque will be accepted).
Customers who want to pay directly to the Hotel, please pay by CHEQUE ONLY. We accept cheques in US Dollars, Euros, or Swiss Francs. Make the cheque payable to '1291 INTERNATIONAL CORP.'
